Evidence requested and quoted per lot
Lot, Date Code and Traceability for Electronic Components
Traceability is not a single badge. The available chain, labels, lot/date code and supporting documents depend on the exact part, source and quoted lot.
1. Possible evidence
Depending on source and availability, a quotation may specify label photos, packing information, lot/date code, commercial paperwork, manufacturer/distributor trace documents or an agreed inspection record.
2. What documents can establish
A document supports only the named issuer, part, quantity, lot and transaction scope. Redactions or missing links must be disclosed rather than described as full chain-of-custody.
3. What cannot be promised by a web page
No product page guarantees a particular date code, factory-sealed packing, continuous authorized channel or manufacturer warranty. Those are offer-level facts.
4. Buyer instructions
State mandatory traceability, date-code range, photo, packing, test and retention requirements in the RFQ before a sourcing offer is accepted.
